About Cisco Pinedo | Projects
For Cisco Pinedo, success is the main goal, but it is only the result of performing at the highest level. The primary objective for Cisco Brothers is much more than making a profit. It is to contribute to the greater good. Cisco is personally committed to protecting the environment as well as improving the quality of life of his neighbors. This has led him to develop parallel projects beneficial to the community. He is co-founder of META (Making Education The Answer), providing academic scholarships to Hispanic youth throughout Southern California; and Barro Sin Plomo, a Mexican non-profit organization that supports artisans to create sustainable products and preserve the spirit of their traditional forms.
In 2003, the first phase of the L.A. Design Center, an award winning urban project designed by John Friedman | Alice Kimm Architects, was completed in South Central Los Angeles and it is a center point for many community based organizations.
In April 2008, a new showroom will open its doors at The Mills located in High Point, North Carolina. Both of these developments involve the elegant renovation of derelict buildings, revitalizing a whole section of the city and empowering the American furniture industry.
